O.R.B.I.T.
The $3.2M development of the O.R.B.I.T. (Osceola Regional Business and Industrial Technology) Center is on the horizon with the establishment of a state-of-the-art trade-training facility spanning over 10,000 sf. This innovative project, a result of collaboration between the Economic Development Administration (EDA) in partnership with the Clarke County Development Corporation and Southwest Community College, aims to address the growing demand for skilled trades. Students from the surrounding school districts will be eligible to take AP classes through SWCC.
The facility is set to become a hub for training in a diverse range of trades, encompassing electrical, HVAC, robotics, milling, plumbing, and a variety of additional skilled trades. Anticipated to break ground in March 2024, the construction is slated for completion by the fall of 2024, promising to equip individuals with valuable skills to meet the evolving needs of the job market.
