Audubon CSD Upgrades

After passing a bond referendum in 2019, Audubon CSD commenced design on a complete middle and high school renovation including complete HVAC replacement, electrical service upgrades, and classroom finish renovation. Denovo worked with the district and design team to manage the schedule and budget to meet expectations and reduce student disruption. During turbulent bidding and procurement times, the project maintained budget on bid day and is currently under construction. With full-time oversight, this renovation will span three phases with close coordination between all prime contractors during system change over. The success of this project is highly reliant on strong team communication and clear expectations.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION
Denovo partnered with Audubon CSD early in the design process as their Construction Management agent. Working closely with the design team and owner, we ensured schedules and scope expectations were met. Project design and coordination was ongoing throughout the COVID pandemic in 2020. Our teams worked collaboratively with a high level of communication to develop appropriate bid packages for the project location.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
Our onsite team members were critical to the success of this project. Through price escalations, equipment delays, and other pandemic related issues, we helped lead the school district every step of the way. Additionally, we worked through revising phasing plans with strong, ongoing communication while minimizing student disruption and ensuring daily safety protocols were being followed.

POST-CONSTRUCTION/CLOSEOUT
Through all of the challenges and market related unforeseen circumstances, this project closed out 1% over budget. We worked with the owner to navigate punchlist activities and maintain progress until final completion.
